At Braille Enterprises, we provide professional accessibility solutions and transcription services, specializing in the conversion of text documents into Braille, large print materials, and other alternative formats. Our team is committed to delivering accurate, reliable, and high-quality solutions that help organizations make information accessible to everyone. We proudly serve clients across a wide range of industries, including government, education, healthcare, hospitality, entertainment, and private business.
Braille Enterprises was founded more than 25 years ago by Bob Watson after a simple but powerful experience with his daughter, Jessica, who is blind. While visiting a neighborhood pizza shop together, Bob realized that Jessica could not independently read the menu. Rather than accepting this barrier, he approached the restaurant manager and offered to create a Braille transcription of the menu so that Jessica and other visually impaired customers could access it independently. What began as a single act of inclusion quickly grew into a larger mission.
Since 2000, Braille Enterprises has grown from a small local service into a trusted accessibility partner for organizations across the country seeking to create more inclusive experiences for their customers, patients, students, and communities. While our roots began with Braille and large print materials, our mission has expanded alongside the evolving needs of accessibility. Today, we provide a broad range of accessibility solutions, including digital document remediation, audio conversion services, and accessibility consulting to help organizations communicate effectively across both print and digital platforms.
Even as technology continues to evolve, our mission remains grounded in the same personal belief that started it all: everyone deserves equal access to information, independence, and inclusion.
For more than 25 years, Braille Enterprises has provided professional accessibility and transcription services for organizations across healthcare, government, education, hospitality, and private industry. Our transcription team includes professionals certified through the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) Braille Certification Program administered by the Library of Congress. This specialized training reflects our commitment to accuracy, accessibility standards, and high-quality braille production.
Every project at Braille Enterprises is completed in-house and undergoes rigorous quality assurance review to help ensure accuracy, readability, and consistency across all accessible formats. From braille and large print to accessible PDFs and audio conversion services, we are committed to delivering professional, reliable solutions that organizations can trust. Our focus is not only on compliance, but on creating materials that are truly usable and accessible for the people who depend on them.
We understand that many accessibility projects involve sensitive or confidential information, particularly within healthcare, government, and education environments. Our team takes data privacy seriously and follows secure file handling and storage practices, including the use of secure services for managing client materials. Team members are trained in HIPAA-conscious practices, and we routinely sign non-disclosure agreements to help protect the confidentiality and security of our clients’ information.
